Zinc Proteinate feed additive (zinc protein chelate) is a protein-derived zinc chelate formed by the chelation of zinc ions (Zn²⁺) with animal and plant proteins through coordination bonds. It belongs to the core category of organic zinc feed additives. Different from single amino acid chelated zinc, it uses hydrolyzed protein as the ligand, with a more stable chelate structure and slow-release absorption of zinc. Its bioavailability is much higher than that of inorganic zinc sources such as zinc sulfate and zinc oxide. Additionally, it is mild on the digestive tract of livestock and poultry, making it a preferred raw material for zinc supplementation in feed formulas. It is widely used in pig, poultry, ruminant, and aquaculture.
